Swaziland Day Tour

This is a full day tour and departs from the Manaytta Rock Camp at 08h00 am after breakfast. It includes lunch at the Ngwenya Centre.

The tour offers a stunning scenic drive over the Maguga Dam Wall and a visit to the Nsangwini Rock Art where one can learn more about the origins of the Swazi people from Bushman paintings dramatically perched above the scenic Komati River.

It includes a brief stop at the Ngwenya Mine which is one of the oldest mines in the world – 42,000 years old! At the Ngwenya centre, the local Ngwenya candle and glass factories are very interesting and offer a local shopping experience. These are locally owned and run enterprises and offer an opportunity to watch highly skilled glass blowers at work.

The local curio markets have an array of wholesale curios purchasable at wholesale prices to the public. It is important to bring your walking shoes. You can expect to be back in camp at around 19.30 in time for drinks and dinner.

Please note: Passports are required. It is important to bring comfortable walking shoes
